Though  originally from western New York,  I've  called northern California home for most of my life.  After graduating from the University of California at Davis, with a degree in international relations, I began my career as an adult education instructor. I'm the author of Nikolai Delov, a novel about modern Russia. My shorter works have appeared in literary journals including  Asia Literary Review, Rosebud, and Toasted Cheese.
